On October the 1st I will be running the Loch Ness marathon and want to use this as an opportunity to fundraise for a cause that has a lot of local significance to me. I sadly lost my Auntie Bronwen 'Bonnie' Stark/Mackay to complications of haemochromatosis in 2020. Running this race so close to where she lived - I would like to help raise money to aid funds for the treatment and raise awareness of this condition.

Like many people in the UK, I had never heard of Genetic Haemochromatosis before my own diagnosis; yet it is the most commonplace genetic condition in the UK, directly affecting over 380,000 people.
The 4 Peaks challenge is dedicated to my dad who passed away in November 2021 from Haemochromatosis. The challenge involves a hike in Spain, followed by the 3 Peaks challenge in England, Scotland and Wales. The 4th and final peak will be Slieve Donald in Northern Ireland, which I climbed with my dad. Thank you for your support!
