On October the 1st I will be running the Loch Ness marathon - my first marathon - and want to use this as an opportunity to fundraise for a cause that has a lot of local significance to me.

In August 2020 we sadly lost my Auntie Bronwen 'Bonnie' to complications of haemochromatosis - a genetic condition which causes iron overload in the body.

Living on the Black Isle, just outside of Inverness, with her dog Hamish, there was never a dull moment on our trips North to visit her. Running this race so close to where she lived, I am going to use this as an opportunity to raise money to aid funds for the treatment and spread awareness of this genetic disorder in her memory. Early diagnosis and treatment is imperative in avoiding complications and increasing quality of life for those with the incurable condition.

Any donation is greatly appreciated!
