As members of my family have haemochromatosis and one son currently going through venesection I want to do what I can to make the wider community aware of haemochromatosis and support where possible.
Haemochromatosis has recently affected my family and Haemochromatosis UK has supported us through this time. To show my appreciation I am fundraising and running the marathon in aid of the charity.

Like many people in the UK, I had never heard of Genetic Haemochromatosis before my own diagnosis; yet it is the most commonplace genetic condition in the UK, directly affecting over 380,000 people.
The 4 Peaks challenge is dedicated to my dad who passed away in November 2021 from Haemochromatosis. The challenge involves a hike in Spain, followed by the 3 Peaks challenge in England, Scotland and Wales. The 4th and final peak will be Slieve Donald in Northern Ireland, which I climbed with my dad. Thank you for your support!
