Across the country people are donning their trainers, slipping on their Haemochromatosis UK running vests and heading out in every weather to train for events to help make iron overload a thing of the past.

Sammy Park and Emma Moxham are IV Therapy Nurse Specialists who are running the Vitality London 10k this year in aid of Haemochromatosis. "They look set to break the £1,000 barrier already with generous support from patients and others. Mark and Bethan are also running for us and with spaces still available you too could join them at this fantastic event. "If you have the means to donate – rest assured - this will greatly support flagship work in education, research and helping people live with iron overload" Mark

"It is an absolute pleasure to be able to give back to the charity by running the London Vitality 10k." Sammy and Emma

Our Super Heroes are people like Karen Richardson, Neil Griffith, Kira Drabble, Emma Yates and Alex Barker who all took part in the London Landmarks Half-marathon in April 2023 - raising over £4k together.

We have places for the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2024 if you want to put your name down for a place.

Megan Gallagher will be running the Hackney Half Marathon (May 2023) in memory of her dad and for her boyfriend who has the condition. Thank you Megan for the amazing support and raising over £1.3k.

I will be running the London Landmarks half marathon for Haemochromatosis UK (HUK), in memory of my father-in-law Allan Mottram who sadly passed away in November 2022 from liver cancer caused by Haemochromatosis. Neil Griffith
