Mr Mark Pawsey, MP for Rugby where Haemochromatosis UK has its offices, has offered to chair the new All Party Parliamentary Group for Genetic Haemochromatosis.

Mark is very familiar with the work of HUK and has met staff and trustees of the charity on several occasions. In October 2018 he also hosted a reception at The House of Commons at which the report Living with the Impact of Iron Overload was launched and which led directly to the creation of the APPG.

Mark will put his name forward as chairman at the upcoming inaugural meeting of the group on 16 January.
