Over 40,000 people are at risk of genetic haemochromatosis in Wales. Although the condition is widespread, it's under-diagnosed, despite being especially prevalent in North Wales.

In response, with the support of the National Lottery Community Fund for Wales and the Moondance Foundation, we have developed a range of new information and advice resources in Welsh. These include a detailed 16 page guide to the condition, a leaflet explaining the common symptoms and how to seek help.

We're also distributing materials to community groups, public libraries and GP surgeries in both English and Welsh. The rollout will cover over 150 GP practices, supporting over 750,000 people across west and north Wales.

Thanks to the support of the National Lottery Community Fund for Wales, we have published Welsh-language copies of our key resources on our website.
