This guide has been written to help you understand more about skin conditions that can occur when you have genetic haemochromatosis and what can be done to try and improve any symptoms.

Our charity carried out a large-scale survey of people with genetic haemochromatosis. The findings were published in our 2018 report, "Living with the Impact of Iron Overload". It revealed that over 7 in 10 people who responded to the survey had experienced skin problems. The British Skin Foundation have published some of our members' case studies, too.
