EASL Liver Conference in London

In June, we travelled to London Excel for the International Liver Conference, run by EASL, the European Association for the Study of Liver.

There were over 5,000 clinicians (mostly hepatologists and gastroenterologists) on-site with a further 2,000 joining online. Our team spoke with several hundred delegates, who were impressed with the range and quality of our clinician resources (see pictures below).

HUK's CEO Neil McClements even took the opportunity to try a new ultrasound liver screening tool, due to launch in the UK next year (picture below).

We gratefully acknowledge the generous support of the Hospital Saturday Fund in funding this event.

RCN Congress in Glasgow

In early June, we travelled to Glasgow for the Royal College of Nursing Congress.

This was the first face-to-face nursing event possible since the Covid pandemic began - and it was packed! Our team met with hundreds of nurses from primary and secondary care over 3 days. We made many new friends and met lots of old faces as we promoted our award-winning venesection best practice guidance and RCN-accredited GH eLearning module.

We were especially delighted to be joined by Louisa (pictured left), one of our local Scottish volunteers, who skilfully helped us manage the unanticipated deluge of interest from delegates.

We're already planning our clinician events programme for 2023. Keep an eye on our website for updates!
