Join renowned actor Stephen McGann (Call The Midwife, The Bill, Casualty, Emmerdale) for this BBC Radio 4 Charity Appeal in aid of Haemochromatosis UK.

Stephen talks about the charity's work to support people affected by genetic haemochromatosis, people like Lindsay, Hoppy, Marilyn and Mark.

Can you help? A donation to Haemochromatosis UK from you will help the charity expand our counselling services and train a further 1,000 clinicians every year. Because early diagnosis really does save lives.

The appeal was broadcast live on BBC Radio 4 throughout the week commencing 7th February 2021.

The appeal is available for catch-up listening now on the BBC Sounds app (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and on the BBC Radio 4 website.

We have published a range of free guides which explain genetic haemochromatosis.

Our helplines are available for friendly, helpful advice from trained volunteers who also have the condition. Just call or email us, we'd love to help!

We are extremely grateful to Stephen for supporting us in this appeal. He explained why he is supporting Haemochromatosis UK, in this specially recorded message :
